We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team and contribute to our mission of improving the health and well-being of our patients.Job SummaryAs a Nurse Practitioner at our primary care practice, you will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of common health conditions, promoting preventive care, and educating patients on health management.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinationsDiagnose and treat common acute and chronic health conditionsPrescribe medications and other treatments within the scope of practiceOrder and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-raysDevelop and implement treatment plans, emphasizing disease prevention and health promotionProvide patient education on disease prevention, health maintenance, and lifestyle modificationsCollaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient careMaintain accurate and detailed patient records in the electronic health record systemParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and practice meetingsStay current with evidence-based practices and continuing education requirementsQualificationsMaster's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited programCurrent Virginia state licensure as a Nurse PractitionerNational certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP-BC)DEA registration and prescriptive authority in VirginiaMinimum of 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care (preferred)Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex patient casesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in electronic health record systemsBenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurance stipend (with plans coming soon)Paid time off and holidaysContinuing education allowanceMalpractice insurance coverageOpportunities for professional growth and developmentJob Type: Full-timePay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per yearBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offMedical Specialty:Primary CareLicense/Certification:Certified Nurse Practitioner (Virginia) (Required)Ability to Relocate:Portsmouth, VA: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
