About the roleWe’re seeking a Senior Strategic Finance Associate to join the Finance function at Chime! As a finance team member, you will play a crucial role in developing and shaping our business, financial strategy, and executing against high-impact and cross-functional initiatives.
In this highly visible role, you will partner with our spending organization, including product, risk, engineering, analytics, and marketing teams, to optimize our spending portfolio. You will create ROI analyses for various new product initiatives to ensure product success. Additionally, you will be responsible for forecasting purchase volume and collaborating closely with analytics to understand consumer spending performance.
We are looking for an analytical problem-solver who can break down complex problems into actionable components without losing sight of the overall strategy.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $116,100 and up to $161,300. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
Partner with multiple business departments (product, risk, engineering, analytics, and marketing) to optimize the spending portfolio.
Conduct ROI analyses on new product initiatives to support product success while ensuring positive financial outcomes.
Forecast purchase volume and work closely with analytics to understand and improve consumer spend performance.
Create, analyze, and optimize forecasting models and methodologies to drive accuracy and scalability, including long-term planning, annual planning, and rolling forecasts.
Develop, deliver, and maintain insightful reporting with KPI reporting.
Collaborate with finance partners, accounting, analytics, and other teams to drive accuracy and predictability in forecasting while also helping drive cost efficiencies throughout our product suite.
Implement new systems and processes to help the finance function scale as the organization grows.
Identify and quantify financial and operational risks and opportunities for the business.
Provide data-driven insights to facilitate decision-making and influence strategy through financial model building, reporting, process flow, and dashboard development.
To thrive in this role, you have
4-7 years of finance/FP&A, investment banking, business intelligence, or consulting experience
A Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or relevant field
The ability to contribute as a team player that embraces change and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Superior communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization
Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills required
Bonus Experience: Adaptive Insights, Netsuite, Looker, SQL, Snowflake, Python, VBA
