Job Description Summary:The Senior Advancement Analytics Specialist is responsible for interpreting and transforming data into fundraising performance information. Collaborates with the DAR executive team, GWIT, development officers, research, and relationship management to ensure a culture of analytics that highlights the power of data and its ability to support and inform decision-making. Partners with various departments across DAR to define business problems, analyze data, and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Delivers customized information and analyses that contribute to building quality relationships with prospective donors and strengthening relationships with current donors and alumni.Works directly with business units to define requirements that will inform GWIT modeling structures that enable marketing and fundraising managers to make informed business decisions and manage donors and prospects from an individual or segment perspective.Essential Responsibilities:

Produces meaningful analysis, strategic insight, and cross-program analyses to identify trends and show overall impact and performance, as well as to make recommendations to optimize resources throughout the organization.Evaluates and interprets fundraising data related to school and unit fundraising performance and produces weekly, monthly, and campaign fundraising status updates for management review.Develops and implements a cohesive strategy for analytics using analytic platforms available in the university and acts as a change agent/data asset champion to manage the use of data to drive strategic business decisions and growth.Develops and implements best practices related to analytics and data governance – proactively identifying opportunities to streamline processes and increase accuracy and efficiency, and establishing, documenting, and updating related policies and procedures as necessary.Understands the expectations of the different development units – e.g., major gifts, annual gifts, planned gifts – and alumni relations to ensure capabilities exist to support any ad hoc projects to help them with day-to-day business issues from a data and analytics perspective.Serves as a strategic partner and internal consultant to fundraising programs and colleagues across the department and institution, providing evaluative and consultative services as needed.Evaluates data sources for relevance, integrity, and accuracy. Identifies issues and collaborates with GWIT on solutions to data management challenges.Designs and prepares presentations for leadership meetings and external forums on fundraising information. Prepares presentation notes for presenters.Conducts industry-benchmarking analysis to identify best practices and fundraising performance or capability gaps.Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 7 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 5 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in predictive analytics including demonstrated proficiency in performing statistical analyses is preferred.Ability to compile, report, and analyze information from diverse sources to explain, illustrate, and highlight key points to achieve results is desired.Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills. Adept at framing business questions and practices in analytic terms and synthesizing business requirements from multiple stakeholders.Experience communicating technical results to both technical and non-technical audiences is desired.Candidates are organized, creative, energetic, and assertive.Job Details
