A nursing position is available in a high flow unit with frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges.The unit seeks positive nurses willing to work with others as a team to overcome challenges.Job Requirements
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSSRNs are required to titrate drips.Charge Nurse responsibilities include having an assignment.Nurse aids/patient care techs duties and ratios are specified.RNs must be able to read and interpret telemetry.Schedule Information
Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1900, 1830-0700 for 6-week scheduling periods.Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.Holiday Requirements: Will rotate with permanent staff.Floating requirements include Med/Surg and all areas in the hospital depending on abilities.Unit Specific Information
28 beds in the unit.Nurse to patient ratio: 1:04Specialty equipment available: Code Carts, LUCAS Machines, hoyer lift, Sit and StandAdditional Details
Common diagnoses/Types of patients include adults from the ER, Mixed Medical/Surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients.Common titratable &/or set rate drips include Heparin, octreotide, insulin, etc.A Charge Nurse is present on each shift.Tele/Monitor Techs are present on the unit.Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy Blue
