Material Handler:
Duties and Responsibilities for Material Handler:
Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes, to move materials, products, and supplies to and from storage areas, production areas, and loading docks.Pull raw materials for production and deliver to punch press.Assist press operators with safely loading material.Anticipate material/packaging needs and deliver to punch press to minimize operator downtime.Recognize material damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.Transfer finished pallets from punch press to staging location.Collaborate with various teams, including production, purchasing, and logistics, to coordinate the timely receipt, and interdepartmental transfer of materials as needed.Willingness to be flexible working indoor and outdoor as needed to retrieve production material.Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and handling hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations.Skills and Qualifications for Material Handler:
High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience as a Material HandlerValid Drivers LicensePrevious Forklift certificationAbility to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in material handling .
