Homes.com is already one of the fastest growing real estate portals in the industry, we are driven to be #1.We’re looking for an object-oriented Senior Software Engineer who takes pride in backend development to contribute to building innovative, scalable applications in pursuit of a great user experience. You’ll help develop the next generation of residential products, apps, and services. This position is located in Washington, DC and offers a schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop high performance web applications used by hundreds of thousands of users globally.Design and develop using Object Oriented design principles and software design patterns to attain high reusability and maintainability.Promote consistent architecture patterns for design and development within and across Homes development teams.Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers across the organization.Advocate standards-driven technology.Facilitate discussions among other .NET and database developers to exchange new ideas and improvements.Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field).A track record of commitment to prior employers.5+ years of production development experience with C# .Net (or .Net Core).Experience delivering products that meet specifications and performance SLA.Experienced in unit, performance, and automation testing.Deeply understand what drives the business for which you are building software.Preferred Qualifications and SkillsExperience in relational database design (MS SQL or MySQL) including performance tuning.Experience with AWS S3, SQS, Dynamo, ElastiCache, Apache Kafka and Datadog.Demonstrate working knowledge Vue, React or Angular in TypeScript.A demonstrable track record of building and launching successful products and platforms.What’s in it for YouWhen you join CoStar Group, you’ll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.
