Job Overview:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for financial reporting, including preparing and reviewing financial statements and maintaining the financial ERP system. S/he will also support forecasting and budgeting activities. This role requires a deep understating of accounting principles, financial analysis and the ability to create and maintain financial models.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare weekly and monthly entries required for month end close.
Collaborate with Plant Controller to maintain and ensure accurate cost records for manufactured and purchased items.
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable Manager and Director of Purchasing and Accounts Payable to ensure daily and monthly reconciliations are performed and variances resolved.
Direct, mentor and develop inventory analyst.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Provide financial support including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to Department Heads.
Support financial planning initiatives by developing financial models and scenario analyses.
Qualifications Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
Proficient in financial modeling and analytical tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel, financial software)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAGE InTacct a plus.
MBA or CPA a plus.
