Director, Maritime International Business Development
to join Anduril, working in a cutting-edge start-up environment to advance the state-of-the-possible in undersea robotics.
WHAT YOU’LL DOBuild a cohesive, deliberate strategy across a growing range of international defense customers to position Anduril’s maritime products at scaleLead large capture campaigns, with focus on growing international programs of record or similar transitioned programs at scale for AUVs and USVsCoordinate and own advanced, potentially multi-year capture campaigns which will span multiple stakeholders within Anduril and the customer’s organization(s)Lead coordination with and provide direct support to Anduril’s Global Defense team. Serve as the maritime division’s primary point of contact and interface for all maritime-oriented international pursuitsDevelop and maintain close, trusted partner relationships with offices of senior military (and civilian counterpart) international defense customers, current and prospective customers, as well as industry partners and suppliersAssist the customers in meeting their requirements and capability gaps with capabilities, products, and technologies available from or being developed by Anduril and in relevant defense sectorsSupport ongoing alignment of Anduril’s dual-use maritime product offerings with evolving customer demand and requirements, routinely engage stakeholders across the Anduril org (Engineering/Product, Government Relations, Program Execution) to ensure alignment of Anduril priorities with customer needsProvide guidance, advice, and support to the leadership team regarding business investments and international customer prioritiesFoster a culture of trust, open communications, customer focus, innovation, and continuous improvementDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with customers to identify new business opportunities, proactively communicate and resolve program issues, and provide strategic direction to program teamsLead initiatives that move the organization forward, contributing to business / financial performanceDeliver on financial performance commitments and strategic market growth
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have managed complex programs with either the US Department of Defense or a similar international defense customer organization – ideally with experience in undersea warfare, maritime unmanned systems, and advanced maritime capability developmentMinimum of 10 years of relevant Program Management, acquisitions or business development / capture experience in the government and/or private sector with a primary focus on international markets and transactionsDemonstrated experience leading significant capture campaigns targeting international customers for a private sector defense companyThey should know target customers across the undersea and UxV communities in key international markets (APAC, EMEA) and have an intimate understanding of international government contracting vectorsPossess an intimate familiarity with US export controls and modes of transacting international defense sales, including but not limited to: direct commercial sales (DCS) and FMS/FMF transactionsThe successful candidate will ideally have strong connections within relevant international program offices and government customer accountsThis candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial, and creative environment.
