Description

Our Quality Inspector is responsible for quality inspection of all incoming and outgoing materials assigned for review to the Quality Assurance Department. Requires a substantial level of authority, responsibility, independent judgment, impartiality, people skills, and technical know-how in support of verifying business operations and / or that our products comply with specified requirements.

The Quality Control Technician role may be required to act on behalf of the customer when requested to do so.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Log all inspected and reviewed material into QA inspection Log with all essential details recorded in a standard and uniform mannerMeasure and validate incoming purchased machined parts to engineering drawings, specifications, proper packaging, cleanliness, and overall functional requirements which may applyReview all incoming and returned materials for non-conformancesInitiate non-conforming machined or assembled parts Damaged Material Report (DMR)Responsible for tracking and maintaining department tooling and materials.Interface with various departments to prioritize inspection items based on delivery schedule, project timelines, or specialized work requirementThe incumbent may be required to assemble, surface prep, clean, vacuum pack, and wrap inspected materials for inventory stock and customer ordersIt is every employee's responsibility to be aware and adhere to the applicable Safety & Health, Quality and Environmental Process of Rev-Tech Manufacturing.Requirements

High School diploma or GED requiredTrade school, technical school, or military education required. Associates degree preferred.Minimum 2 years of quality assurance experience in a machine shop environmentExperience in practical application of machine shop techniquesExperience in practical application of Sheet metal Fabrication techniques a plusREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Working knowledge of disposition and etching techniques, blueprints, drawings, schematics, BOMs, manufacturing documentation systems, test equipment, audits and inspections.Ability to measure with gages, calipers, and micrometers and CMM for high accuracy on the inspection of tools and hardware.
