Mold Repairer

**Job Title: Mold Repairer- up to $29/HR on 1st shift!****Job Description**Inspect interior surfaces of molds to locate pits, holes, blemishes, or other imperfections. Transport molds to and from press using a tow motor or crane. Utilize hazardous energy control procedures. Perform machining and other techniques/methods to repair defects and smooth interior of molds. Repair or install new inserts in molds. Repair hydraulics and electrical components on molds. Repair and/or make fixtures. Troubleshoot and handle problems with molds and presses, clean nozzles and plastic residue. Disassemble molds, clean and reassemble molds following all safety precautions and overhead hoist safety. Re-rack molds and add location of molds in the IQMS system. Perform Mold Setter duties when needed. Follow all ISO procedures. Inspect transfer molds and complete all paperwork requirements. Recommend improvements to molds as needed.**Hard Skills**+ Own small set of hand and power tools+ Understanding and troubleshooting of hydraulics+ Knowledge of electrical components of molds**Job Type**This is a permanent position.**Work Site**This is a fully on-site position in Akron, Ohio.**Work Environment**1st shift. Union environment with a probationary period of 120 days before being hired into the union. Receive a .25 cent raise twice a year. Currently, there are 6 Maintenance Technicians with an ideal state of 8.
