SUMMARY: Identify and select donated products for internet sales, thoroughly examine each product to determine the correct condition, manufacturer and other pertinent criteria, take detailed, clear and appropriate photos, write concise, appealing and accurate descriptions necessary to list items available to maximize Goodwill sales and profit margins. Maintain current inventory system and ship items correctly. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. LISTING Sort incoming merchandise into proper stations. Visually inspect and separate items by category while evaluating each item for acceptability. Create a detailed and accurate description of each item for posting online. Photograph each item for listing as professionally as possible. Post items for sale using proper key-word descriptors. Respond to customer inquiries about listings as directed. Keep area clear of hazards and keep work area clean daily. INVENTORY CONTROL Assign listed merchandise to proper storage location using current software program. Pull sold items from daily manifest to prepare for shipping. Send pulled items to shipping area. Pull purgeable items daily from report and seek proper disposition. Conduct audits weekly on listed items. Report all inventory discrepancies to E-Commerce Manager Ensure the correct and proper flow of merchandise is followed from the time it is received into E-Commerce until it has been shipped out. Maintains clean and safe work area and surroundings. SHIPPING Responsible for all shipping and handling duties. Prepare all items from Inventory Control for shipping. Monitors supplies on hand for shipping needs and submits re-supply request to ecommerce manager. Puts away all supplies upon their arrival. Carefully assembles and packs orders for shipment to ensure proper packaging procedures are followed to prevent breakage. Utilizes current shipping software to calculate the best shipping rate for each package. Attaches shipping labels and prepares shipping manifest for carrier pick-up. Maintains clean and safe work area and surroundings. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum of High School diploma or GED is strongly preferred. Three or more years of related experience or training is strongly preferred and can be substituted for educational preferences. Retail experience, knowledge of gaming, jewelry, media, antiques and collectibles, clothing and accessories is also strongly preferred. Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Must possess typing skills equivalent to at least 40 WPM with a 95% or better accuracy rating. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to print and speak simple sentences preferred. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be able to recognize numbers. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where some standardization exists. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (clear vision at 20 inches and less) and color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
