Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry (Tele)Location: Lima, OHShift: Nights 3x12Job Overview:The Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry provides critical nursing care and monitoring to patients with cardiovascular conditions in various healthcare settings across different locations. This role requires expertise in cardiac care, strong assessment skills, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.Responsibilities:Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other indicators, identifying any changes that may require intervention.Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including medical history and physical examinations, particularly related to cardiovascular health.Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, closely monitoring for effectiveness and potential side effects.Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care and ensure effective communication among team members.Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications necessary for managing cardiovascular health.Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, assessments, and interventions in electronic health records (EHR).Emergency Response: Respond effectively to emergency situations, including cardiac arrests and arrhythmias, and participate in code blue procedures as necessary.Qualifications:Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is strongly preferred.Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a telemetry or critical care setting; travel nursing experience is a plus.Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
