Analyst/Associate - Alternative InvestmentsThe Firm is a multi-strategy alternative asset manager that provides tailored private market investment solutions to wealth advisory firms, family offices, and institutions. The Firm’s Alternative Investments group is responsible for sourcing, research, monitoring, and managing the Firm’s underlying private investments. Investment coverage spans across a variety of asset types including private equity/venture, private credit, real estate, hedge funds.As an Alternative Investment Analyst/Associate, you will play a crucial role in conducting monitoring existing investments, strategy/market research, analyzing new opportunities, and providing recommendations to support ongoing investment activities. We are seeking candidates with prior experience within private markets and a strong understanding of the financial markets. The role is based in Atlanta, Georgia.Responsibilities:· Conduct in-depth research and analysis on various alternative investment opportunities, such as private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and real estate.· Evaluate investment strategies and perform due diligence on potential investments.· Monitor the performance of existing alternative investments and provide regular reports to senior management.· Stay up to date with market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments in the alternative investment space.· Produce reports and analysis in support of portfolio management needs including the building of exposure, risk, and performance reports/dashboards among others.· Prepare investment memos and presentations in support of existing and prospective stakeholders.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute investment strategies, manage ad hoc requests to support client requests, and support strategic initiatives aligned with the Firm’s goals.Requirements:The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:· Minimum of 2 years relevant private markets investment experience.· Detailed knowledge of private market strategies (private equity, private credit, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds).· Collaborator with excellent interpersonal, communications, and analytical skills, who is keen to learn, grow, support, and contribute to the team’s mandate.· Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed investment decisions.· Knowledge of regulatory, legal, tax, and compliance considerations for alternative investments.· Proficiency with MS Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint, is necessary.· Comfortable working with data and possesses a working knowledge of third-party data and analytics providers such as Bloomberg, AlternativeSoft, and Backstop.· Possesses a high level of initiative, is meticulous, well-organized, and has a desire to drive process and reporting improvements.· Self-starter who is hands-on, comfortable managing multiple tasks, and confident shifting priorities as they evolve with various stakeholders.· Degree in finance, economics, engineering, technology, or related field. Master’s degree, CFA, or CAIA designations are a plus.
