We are looking for a talented attorney to help support some of our most cutting-edge machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives, as we continue to bring delightful new products and services to our customers around the world. You will be responsible for providing legal support to our global public policy teams on issues related to AI and for regulatory response.

Key job responsibilities:You will advise one or more business teams and business leaders on a broad range of public policy and regulatory issues involving artificial intelligence and machine learning.You will partner with public policy and legal colleagues, scientists, engineers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to develop policy positions, and you will be a critical member of the team supporting international policy engagement.You will also drive responses on regulatory engagement related to AI.To be successful in this role, you will need to be curious, innovative, and enthusiastic about tech. You should enjoy being challenged, demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.Minimum Requirements:5+ years of legal experienceJuris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalentExperience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house workExperience working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization or equivalentExperience with policy work, including legislative process or advocacy.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
