Description: Unit Notes: Will accept LOCAL Placements LOCAL adjusted bill rate: $115 LOCAL adjusted OT rate: $125 No Prescreen - Manager will interview Please research housing - I have leads upon request415 Bed Hospital - Level 1 Trauma Certified & Stroke center suites/labs: - 1 IR Suite and Hybrid OR for Vascular Surgery (3 IR rooms Siemens Biplane, Siemens, and GE and 1 Hybrid Phillips)Certs/ARRT - ARRT, MA License & BLS Cases per day on average: Between 12-20 cases/dayTypes of Staff in IR: 6-8 techs (techs will go to the OR, RNs do not), 4-8 RNs when fully staffedSee Call RequirementWeekend Requirement Rotating Call OnlyCall Requirement - Tech/response time: Once the traveler is working independently (approximately 1 month), they will orient them to call. Weekend call is every 5th-8th weekend. Weekday call is variable call shift count per month (M-Th counts the days). Response time is ideally 30 minutes. Max of 45 minutes.Holidays: None at this timeScrub Color/provided: ProvidedCardiologist hours/on call: IR in-house during the day; on-call after hoursRT 24/7: Yes, staffed 6am-7:30pm; on-call after hours. Usually 1 week, sometimes up to 2 weeksCommon cases (IR &Cath lab): Central venous catheters, paracentesis/thoracentesis, GI tube management, fistulagram, GI bleeds, Y-90Neuro IR: diagnostic cerebral angiograms and interventions, Strokes - thrombectomiesVascular Surgery: EVAR, TEVAR and LE angio/interventionsThey get very sick patients (LVADs, ECMO, IMPELLA, etc.) PE thrombectomy, TIPS, stroke, Aortic rupturesAdditional Notes: The staff in IR are tight knit. The RNs, Techs, & Dr's all work well together, eat lunch together sometimes, etc. The last travel nurse stayed on per diem. The staff is very knowledgeable & open to teaching. Candidates must have IR and Neuro IR (Stroke) experience and preferable EPIC, Siemens, GE and Phillips. Candidates must be comfortable speaking up & asking questions. This is encouraged.
