Currently, we are seeking a Setup Technician on 2nd shift (2:55 pm to 11:05 pm) or 3rd shift (10:55 pm to 7:05 am) to ensure seamless production operations through preventive maintenance, performing changeovers, and machine/equipment repairs. This role is vital for maintaining operational efficiency in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Start and verify production processes.
- Perform maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshoot issues on machines and related equipment.
- Execute changeovers on machines, set tools, and operate overhead cranes.
- Ensure accurate documentation of production activities and conduct quality inspections per IATF 16949 standards.
- Collaborate with team members and assist with complex tasks.
- Maintain adherence to safety rules, FIFO practices, and 5S housekeeping methodology.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years CNC operating experience
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Experience with troubleshooting conveyor belts or bearings
- Problem solving mindset
Nice to Haves:
- 2+ years experience in high-volume manufacturing (5+ years preferred).
- Vocational/Certificate training desired.
- Proficient in reading work instructions, with strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of injection molding machines (maintenance, setup, troubleshooting).
- Hands-on troubleshooting and technical proficiency.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of the metric system and measurement devices.
- Advanced computer skills.
