Are you passionate about the construction industry and enjoy leading and overseeing projects? We are a leading construction company seeking an experienced Grading Foreman to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales targets achievement.
Responsibilities:
As a Foreman, your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.
- Supervising and coordinating the work of construction workers and subcontractors.
- Ensuring work is carried out in compliance with the company's procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Planning and scheduling work sequences in line with project requirements.
- Inspecting and reviewing the work performed by the crew and correcting any deviations.
- Performing tasks related to excavation, mass grading, and asphalt operations.
- Preparing daily reports detailing the work done, resources utilized, and any issues encountered.
- Resolving any problems that may arise during construction.
- Training and mentoring crew members to foster a high-performance team.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Foreman or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proven experience in excavation, mass grading, and asphalt operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of construction operations and equipment.
- A solid understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
- The ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different job sites.
