CEI Senior Inspector
to join us in overseeing the inspection of construction projects. ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.Possess a strong understanding of the Department's Procedures pertaining to the assigned project duties and be proficient in relevant computer programs.Exercise independent judgment in planning work details and making technical decisions related to field aspects of the project.Perform highly complex technical assignments, including field surveying, construction layout, engineering computations, construction work inspections, and field tests.Coordinate and supervise lower-level inspectors.Work under the general supervision of the Project Administrator.Education and Experience Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, for the Senior Engineer Intern classification, an EI certificate is required.For candidates with engineering, engineering technology, or construction management degrees: Minimum of one (1) year of CEI experience in the construction of roadway or bridge structures.For candidates without engineering, engineering technology, or construction management degrees: Minimum of four (4) years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction.A valid Driver's License is required with a safe driving record and must complete a pre-employment screening.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.ICE is a drug-free workplace.Certification RequirementsCandidates must possess the following qualifications/certifications relevant to the project's scope of work at the time of Notice to Proceed (NTP):

Physical Demands
This position requires minimal lifting of up to 50 pounds sometimes on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to travel and tour work sites under adverse environmental conditions not limited to loud noise levels, high dust and dirt, and extreme temperature. The employee must be able to visually examine construction materials and finished structures and work in various types of weather and field conditions, including heights, uneven terrain, highway traffic, hazards of highway construction sites and heavy equipment.
Expected Hours of Work
This position is full-time (40 hours per week). Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing one unpaid hour for lunch each day. While overtime is generally not anticipated, occasional projects or deadlines may necessitate additional hours, compensated according to company policy. Flexible schedules may be available with prior approval from the immediate supervisor. Work schedules may vary based on project demands.
