**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 7:00 pm, 12-hour Nights, 36/48 hours per week

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36/48 hours per week

**Experience:** Accepting first-time travelers with at least 2 years of experience and Cerner or EPIC experience. Traditional travelers require at least 2 years of experience with Cerner or EPIC.

**License:** Registered Nurse License

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

**Must-Have:**- Ventilation care- Hemodynamic monitoring- Medication titration- Experience with various patient types across ICU units

**Job Description:**

- Work across different ICU units including General Cardiac, CVICU, MICU, Neuro ICU, and Surgical ICU.

- **General Cardiac ICU:**- Care for patients with STEMI, post-heart catheterization, respiratory failure, post-cardiac arrest, post-stroke, renal failure, hypertensive emergencies, and sepsis.- Required skills: Vent care, hemodynamic monitoring, medication titrations, arterial line, IABP, Impella, EKOS, CRRT, chest tube care, Swan Ganz catheter, FloTrac monitoring, titratable drip management, hypothermia protocol.

- **CVICU:**- Care for post-op CABG, valve surgeries, thoracotomies, ECMO patients, post-heart cath, and post-op vascular surgery.- Required skills: Swan Ganz catheters, arterial lines, hemodynamic monitoring, chest tubes, CRRT, medication titration, IABP, Impella, EKOS, vent management, Tandem Life/Tandem Lung.

- **MICU:**- Manage cases of acute respiratory, renal, and liver failure, DKA, sepsis/septic shock, and some post-surgical care.- Required skills: ART lines, trach care, chest tubes, vasopressor and sedation usage, central lines.

- **Neuro ICU:**- Provide care for CVA, subarachnoid hemorrhage, subdural hemorrhage, intraparenchymal hemorrhage, and seizures.- Required skills: Trach care/maintenance, art line, vent/ETT management, EVD, ICP monitoring (can train).

- **Surgical ICU:**- Attend to post-surgical, trauma, vascular, and multisystem trauma and neuro-trauma patients.- Required skills: Trach care, art line, chest tube, wound care, drip management (pressors and sedation); CRRT preferred.

- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2.

- Work with support roles including CNA (1:10 ratio) and have access to phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, Hospitalist, and ICU monitoring.

- Utilize technology such as Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors.

- Float to similar units or patient locations including ICU to ICU or between MS-ICU-MS tasks.

- Complete a comprehensive orientation program, including classroom and unit training.

- Participate in a weekend rotation and meet holiday expectations as outlined in the policy.
