Our client, an AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join their dynamic litigation team in Chicago. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing practice offering a wide range of litigation services across multiple industries.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials.
- Bar Admission in Illinois (in good standing).
- At least 3 years of substantive experience in general commercial litigation and other complex litigation matters, including product liability.
- Experience in insurance litigation is a plus.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with the ability to draft and argue discovery motions, take and defend depositions, and manage document productions.
- An entrepreneurial spirit, ready to contribute to a growing office and manage case files independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in complex commercial litigation, product liability, and other litigation matters.
- Draft and argue discovery motions, conduct and defend depositions, and manage all phases of discovery and document production.
- Collaborate with the litigation team to develop case strategies and provide effective counsel to clients in industries such as energy, aerospace, automotive, and life sciences.
- Take ownership of case management, contributing to a growing and dynamic office.
