About the Position:

Cone Health Behavioral Health System seeks a dedicated, full-time Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team in Greensboro, NC. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established system with a mix of inpatient and outpatient care, focusing on in-person visits.

Position Highlights:

  • Leadership role with a mix of inpatient and outpatient care
  • In-person visits only; no telemedicine
  • EPIC EMR system in place
  • Opportunity to teach and mentor, as residents rotate through the service line
  • Care for a diverse patient population across age ranges, including adolescents
  • Certification in ECT and/or TMS is a plus, but not required

Guilford County Crisis Center: a place where children, adolescents, and adults could come to receive walk-in care, residential treatment, and outpatient services.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certification in Psychiatry (Adult or Child & Adult)
  • North Carolina Medical License (or eligibility)
  • DEA License
  • US Citizenship or Green Card
  • H1-B candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis

Responsibilities:

  • Provide APP Oversight and Cosigning
  • Supervising APPs in urgent care, observation, and crisis settings.
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric care for both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Participate in teaching and leadership activities, including mentoring residents
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders
  • Develop and manage treatment plans, prescribe medications, and assess treatment outcomes
