Job DetailsResponsibilities:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a diverse range of activities, which include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining the general ledger and preparing monthly journal entries.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conducting account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management.
- Assisting with internal and external auditing procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and financial regulations.
- Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Staff Accountant position, the candidate must possess the following:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Proficiency in general ledger accounting and the management of accounts payable and receivable.
- Experience in preparing financial statements and conducting financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and use advanced functions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting best practices.
- CPA certification or progress towards certification is highly desirable.
