Offering but not requiring 48/4x12 hour contracts (OT after 48)Stepdown RN needed for 13 weeks with possible extension3x12 or 4x12 (OT after 48) Day Shift 7am-7:30pm; weekdays, EOW, Float, Holidays within contract. Must be willing to float.Skills required: vents, IV start, Telemetry, PA Lines, Conscious Sedation, Neuro IV titration, Insulin IV experience, strong Neuro experience requiredPatient types in SDU: This is a general SDU with a variety of patient populations. We primarily see: pulmonary – acute respiratory failure secondary to pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, and/or CHF exacerbation; cardiac - NSTEMI/STEMI not requiring ICU level of care and/or downgrade from ICU, +/- cardiac cath, CHF/CMO requiring BIPAP/diuresis, AFIB with RVR requiring Cardizem/Amio gtt, or complete heart block awaiting AICD/Pacemaker; sepsis not requiring pressors; minor trauma – hip/femur/ankle fracture s/p fall; CIWA; DKA requiring insulin gtt; some surgical patients – surgeries typically go to MedSurg or ICU however we do see the occasional vascular surgery (arterial bypass or compartment syndrome requiring neurovascular checks) and/or post-op complications from MedSurg.Typical Ratios are 1:4, sometimes 1:5Must be EPIC proficient - NO EXCEPTIONS3 years experience preferred (will consider strong candidates without 3 years), travel experience preferredLocal Rules: No RN candidates will be accepted if they reside less than 50 miles from facility. Drivers License MUST be provided for address verification prior to any offer acceptance.Qualivis Submission Form and current NURSYS report required on all submissions. All RTO must be included at the time of submittal.Job Requirements
