QUALITY ASSURANCEWhat We Do
The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.What You'll Do
As a Senior SDET on LEGO Fortnite, you will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure that we are building new frameworks and maintaining our testing infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to, our CI/CD pipeline, content validation, client automation, and services automation. This role has room to grow and the ability to help mentor junior SDETs.In this role, you willLead and innovate:
Drive the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks and solutions for various aspects of our game, ensuring high-quality gameplay, features, and performance.Problem-solve:
Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, translating abstract challenges into clear and actionable solutions.Collaborate:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, production, QA, design, and art, to develop efficient and effective Automation strategies.Mentor:
Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.Strategize:
Align your team's automation projects with overarching product goals, providing strategic guidance and decision-making.Technical expertise:
Leverage your strong C#/C++ programming skills and deep understanding of game engines (especially Unreal Engine) to build robust and scalable Automation solutions.Results-oriented:
Deliver tangible business results through your innovative and effective automation solutions.What we're looking forBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldExpert-level coding and debugging skills in C#/C++Minimum 4+ years of experience as an SDET or Gameplay Engineer working with a game engineStrong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithmsProven ability to lead and manage team projects
This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including WA).Pay Transparency Information
The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
