Job Details:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and controlling the financial transactions and strategy of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail and a passion for achieving financial objectives. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Staff Accountant, you will:
- Manage and oversee the entire accounts payable process.
- Supervise payables to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos and payment transactions.
- Ensure the month-end close process is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform monthly financial close functions through preparation and posting of journal entries.
- Reconcile all balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly basis.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive implementation of solutions.
- Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant position will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing accounts payables and supervising payables.
- Solid experience in month-end close reconciliations.
- Demonstrated success in process improvements and strategic problem-solving.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required.
