Job Description:The Operations Assistant job duties are outlined as below.

This position assists the VetMed Facility Operations Manager (Position Number 00025233) This includes but is not limited to the following:- Track and follow up on Facility Work Orders to ensure timelines and accuracy of completion. Report any problems with work order completion to the Facility Operations Manager.- Assist with vendors working on site by ensuring they arrive as scheduled, have access to the work area, are clear on their work task and timetable to complete, complete their work as assigned, and have left the work area clean and presentable.- Assist with facility operations repair and preventative maintenance services including but not limited to AV and electronics systems, medical systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems.- Assist with coordination of EH&S and Facilities repairs and code compliance including but not limited to Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, as well as Research and Medical/Patient Care applications- Assist in communications and workflow processing- Responds to system notifications and alarms taking appropriate actions to resolve issues.- Assist with tasks related to multiple operational functions including facility operations, property control, purchasing, security, finance, and human resources.- Assists with managing physical operations in the division. Serves as liaison with Facilities Services for facility management issues. Relocates staff and equipment during renovations and special events.- Resolves issues related to facility management, information technology, document processing, courier requests, travel, stock, and asset management.- May provide input or data to assist in the establishment of operational goals and objectives.- Assist with preparing financial data and financial reports as assigned by supervisor.- Complete assigned support tasks aimed at solving routine to moderately complex issues related to the operations of a college, division, or unit.- Handles moderately complex issues. Refer unresolved or complex issues to supervisors or senior staff.- Receives and logs records, files, or paperwork, verifying completeness and accuracy. Inputs data, compiles information, and distributes or processes files to completion.- Answers questions, retrieves information, or generates reports for management as needed.

This position assists and serves as backup to the VetMed Asset Manager (Position Number 00011462). This includes but is not limited to the following:- know physical inventory process and procedures using equipment scanner and applications to process.- track and record keeping of attractive equipment- complete annual physical inventory and reporting of all college equipment.- use/access current database of equipment and run reports from this database- acquire and update property equipment decals, updating property records through transfers, surveys and information changes- complete the annual Space Allocation report by working with departmental staff on annual room use and updating STARS/Facilities plans- request and update records for the Key Accountability Program.

Other Duties as Assigned- Assist with moving / relocating property and assets- other duties as assigned

Expected Salary:$17.00 - $18.00

Minimum Requirements:A high school diploma or equivalent and five years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
