Material Handler
maintains production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished product. If you are an experienced forklift driver who wants to be part of a team that builds high quality, state of the art passenger trains, this is your career.
Key ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload materials and merchandise from trucks, using pallet jacks and forklifts as neededEnsure all raw materials are labeled and dated properly, Entering daily transactions in the related softwareTrack all orders and dispatch priority orders first, while keeping stock inventory updatedScan the material manually while stocking and notify supervisor immediately of any missing materialsSupport distribution by timely picking, wrapping, packing and loading of ordered material for clientsAssemble crates for loading, using hand tools if needed, including installation, bracing, padding and strapping, and loading materials in the vehicle to ensure safe and secure dispatching of ordered materialMaintain the workplace and warehouse in a neat, clean and orderly condition.Evaluate all goods received with purchase orders and monitor physical count of all inventory and shipping chargesMaintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and suppliesQualifications
High school diploma/GED required1+ years' inventory management experience, with a strong attention to detailAbility to lift loads of 60-100 poundsCurrent and valid OSHA forklift operation certificateAble to work occasional weekends, holidays and eveningsOur offer
