Empire Office is seeking a
Warehouse Associate (2nd Shift)
in our
Secaucus, NJ warehouse
to join our team. Responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling purchase orders, moving merchandise to the appropriate storage area, keeping track of inventory, conducting cycle counts as required, writing reports about shipments and inventory levels, putting labels on goods, keeping the warehouse clean and organized, replenishing work supplies, properly maintaining all shipping and receiving records, and following company policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesTracks and logs all product inventory, ensuring no discrepancies or losses.Schedule incoming deliveries.Accepts deliveries of company products and stores them accordingly. (Unload, Tag, and Store)Inspects all orders being received, checking for damage, defective parts, and missing items.Process receiving documents and freight/vendor claims.Reports and returns damaged products.Process incoming returns, damages, and incorrect material. (Customer)Receives customer and client orders.Packs and ships orders for delivery. (Pulls, Packs, Stage, and Load)Inspects all orders being shipped, checking for damage, defective parts, and missing items.Assemble furniture if needed.Ensure all outgoing product has the proper paperwork.Orders and restocks new supplies.Operates forklift, order picker, or other machinery required for transporting large orders and heavy products.Ability to perform other warehouse duties, receiving, delivery, etc.Addresses and resolves any complaints about products, shipping speeds, or damaged items.Uses WMS (Warehouse Management Software) programs to monitor inventory and balance accounts.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse. All isles must be clear and free.Reports to warehouse supervisor or management to alert them of any issues with shipping or receiving.Follow established processes, evaluate, and propose enhancements to processes that improve profitability and customer experience.Other duties or projects as assigned.Carry out tasks as assigned by the warehouse supervisor/manager.Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is requiredMust speak fluent EnglishMust be able to work night shift hours (Monday - Friday, 4 pm - 12 am)Must be certified to operate forklifts, order pickers, and other machinery used for moving and transporting productsMust have experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory management software used by the companyPossesses strong organizational skillsProcess-driven.Strong problem-solving & communication skillsIs detail-oriented and capable of noticing small errors on orders or defective aspects of productsMaintains physical stamina and strength required to move heavy equipment and products weighing up to 75 poundsWorks well with othersExhibits strong communication skills, essential for working with other employees and with customersStrong computer skills including but not limited to Hedberg, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft OutlookDemonstrates the alertness and physical skill required to operate heavy machineryMust be capable of managing time effectively and multi-tasking as necessaryDemonstrates familiarity with all warehouse safety precautions/company policies and can observe these at all times
