Laitram has an opening for an IT Systems Administrator who will help support our Linux and Windows Infrastructure and help own our OS Patching process. The successful candidate will have extensive systems as well as strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize assigned work according to business needs. Responsibilities: Configure, maintain, and monitor our Linux and Windows Server environments Tune Linux OS to optimize CPU, disk and memory utilization for Oracle Database, EBS and other ERP based applications Configure, maintain, and deploy Operating System patches using various tools Contribute to incident root cause analysis Assist with core infrastructure administration - Certificates, DNS, AD, DHCP, etc. Create Change Management documentation and ensure that our CMDB is appropriately maintained Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks Participate in ITS/DS Projects to ensure complete understanding of new and upgraded systems Assist with managing vendor relationships, support service selection, and contract renewals Global travel opportunities as business needs require Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation Requirements: Undergraduate technical or business degree or at least 3 years of equivalent experience Strong knowledge of networking concepts Experience with Linux and Windows virtual machines Excellent written and verbal skills Ability to create thorough documentation using Company/IT Standards Preferred: One or two years of experience in supporting directly or indirectly an Oracle ERP environment from Linux OS installation/production support perspective Experience in Java JVM management Linux CLI standard tools experience (bash, awk, curl, git, etc.) Experience with Cisco routers and switches and BigFix patch management software EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled LI-KE1
