Come join a company that strives for Extraordinary People and Exceptional PerformanceChenega Services & Federal Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Governance Specialist to join our team of IT experts at the Federal Housing Finance Agency's (FHFA) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). As a key member of our governance team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing enterprise-wide governance frameworks, standards, and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including IT professionals, business units, and stakeholders, to address complex infrastructure issues through Tier 3 and Tier 4 support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Enterprise Governance Frameworks: Develop and maintain comprehensive governance frameworks, standards, and policies for enterprise architecture, continuity of operations, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and other relevant areas.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulatory Requirements: Ensure that all IT-related activities, projects, and initiatives comply with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate on Enterprise Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain an enterprise architecture framework that aligns with business goals, objectives, and priorities.
  • Continuity of Operations Planning: Develop and implement continuity of operations plans to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of critical IT services in the event of a disaster or other disruptions.
  • Cloud Computing Governance: Ensure that cloud computing initiatives are aligned with enterprise governance frameworks, standards, and policies.
  • AI Governance: Ensure that AI-related initiatives are aligned with enterprise governance frameworks, standards, and policies.
  • Tier 3 and Tier 4 Support: Provide escalated and highly technical support for complex infrastructure issues through Tier 3 and Tier 4 support.
  • Update/Pivot from a Given Plan as Needed: Demonstrate agility in adapting to changing priorities and requirements by updating or pivoting from a given plan to refocus resources elsewhere.
  • Maintain Detailed Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of governance frameworks, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicate Effectively with Stakeholders: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including IT professionals, business units, and leadership teams.
  • Ensure Compliance with Industry Regulations: Ensure that all governance-related activities comply with relevant industry regulations, standards, and organizational policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience as a senior IT professional.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture, continuity of operations, cloud computing, AI, and governance frameworks, including the development and implementation of comprehensive governance plans.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices, including compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Familiarity with Tier 3 and Tier 4 support processes, including escalated and highly technical problem-solving.

  • Advanced analytical skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex governance issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including IT professionals, business units, and leadership teams.
  • Collaborative mindset: Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including IT professionals, business units, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and execute on a day to day basis, while employing a hands on approach.
