Division Overview:
Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees, and teas as well as new energy drinks.  Cheraw, SC.
Position Overview:
Oversee a variety of mechanical trade functions in the installation, maintenance, & repair in the production and manufacture of aluminum beverage cans of the highest quality at the lowest possible cost.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Ensures all safety equipment, guards, and devices are always in place, and follows safe work procedures and safety rules. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the area assigned. Makes sure area/machine of work is clean after finishing up repairs or PM.
•    When no PM, Assign Project or specific job to overhaul mechanics, and if needed the overhaul mechanics need to help run the lines (Cupper, Baler and Bodymakers) following all regular routines.
•    Train all employees to necessary standards on Front End Operation.
•    Oversee Installs, maintenance, and repairs to equipment in the Front-End area. Locates and diagnosis trouble in production equipment.
•     Assemble and disassemble all tools and dies, along with all assigned machinery and equipment. Understand and follow blueprints, sketches or verbal instructions to completion of assigned tasks
•    Able to communicate & work closely with Millwrights/Tooling and Die in troubleshooting to resolve production issues.
•    Analyze process for out-of-control limits for cause and takes corrective action where possible.
•    Responsible for the Baler PMs (to include the scrap blower system), Cupper PMs (to include all supporting equipment), Washer PMs Body maker PMs, and Trimmer PMs Repairs and Troubleshooting.
•    Ensures that Front End Overhaul mechanics complete all assigned duties.
•    Performs other related duties as required
•    Ensure all PMs and Repairs on the Front End. Reports to Plant Engineer on status of all PMs and repairs.
•    Plan and coordinate PM Days and Overhauls ensuring all necessary tasks are planned and executed.
•    Ensure necessary parts are ordered and follow up to ensure delivery.
•    Works closely with Storeroom Attendant on keeping stock of needed items
•    Reports to Plant Engineer. 
 


QUALIFICATIONS:
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

Minimum Requirements
•    High School Diploma
•    Supervisory experience-at least 5 years.

Preferred Requirements
•    Understanding of Front-end high speed can making equipment.
•    10 years of experience in Manufacturing.

Competencies
•    Strong computer skills and working knowledge of various Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)

Physical Requirements
•    While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  
•    The associate may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
•    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions
•    Generally, works in a plant environment but will be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting. 
•    While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.   
•    The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. 
•    The noise level is frequently loud.
