Job Summary:
Client is looking for a Product Owner with expertise in Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
•Manage the product backlog, ensuring PBIs are improved, refined, and prioritized.
•Create user stories to help team members understand the context for each product feature.
•Assess the development process at various stages to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
•Prioritize business backlog items.
•Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure team alignment and continuous improvement.
•Participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints to track the progress of product development.
•Evaluate and accept deliverables at the level of individual stories, sprints, and releases.
•Communicate effectively to collaborate with stakeholders, executives, and cross-functional teams.
•Handle customer-impacting events through the incident management cycle.
•Generate and analyze operations reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
•Maintain team metrics and continuously review OKRs and KPIs.
•Possess a technical background with knowledge of software development and familiarity with API, AI, or QA.
•Have hands-on experience with Atlassian Jira.
•Demonstrate team spirit and good communication abilities.
•Oversee all stages of product creation, including design and development, deployment, and testing (functional and application).
•Balance technical knowledge and business acumen.
•Be a proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Required Qualifications:
•Expertise in Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance.
•Experience managing product backlogs and creating user stories.
•Knowledge of software development and familiarity with API, AI, or QA.
•Hands-on experience with Atlassian Jira.
•Strong communication and collaboration skills.
•Ability to oversee all stages of product creation.
•Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Certification in project management (PMP or similar) or application management.
•Experience with SQL and data manipulation for housing systems.
•Knowledge of Housing Choice Voucher Program lifecycle and financial management.

Bachelors Degree
