We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our Visual Analytics team in Key West, FL of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) to provide expertise in the design and operation of infrastructure to support the operation and needs of systems and applications, provide strategy to design and build infrastructure plans based on business requirements, and oversee the implementation of new system technologies.

Your working location will be fully on-site in Key West, FL.

Systems Administrators maintain the integrity of various computer systems including operating systems, physical servers, appliances, and specialized application environments; administer, install, and troubleshoot a variety of technical components, perform systems maintenance tasks such as resource utilization checks and back-up and recovery; perform configuration changes to address customer needs; schedule, install, and test system software upgrades; monitor and maintain software licensing and maintenance agreements.

Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and support systems and softwareDevelop plans, schedules, and requirements for deployment of systemsCreate custom programs and scripts to aid in systems managementDiagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues and/or respond to outagesResolve service-related issues; determine immediate economic and financial consequences of an incidentTest and implement upgrades and patches to installed operating systems and softwareMaintain reliability of systems by monitoring, running tests, and troubleshootingMonitor backups and plans for installed systems; review adequacy of emergency response plansMonitor, maintain, and execute automation processes and proceduresMonitor threats, alerts, security vulnerabilities; conduct regular reviews of security against policy goalsEvaluate organizational vulnerabilities within assigned area of responsibilityManage, research, and resolve complex end-user escalation incidentsEvaluate and recommend new or existing system improvements and/or solutionsCreate and maintain system documentation of departmental processes, procedures, plans, and configurationsMay supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance managementMinimally requires a Bachelors' degree and 3 years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required experience/knowledge include:

Enterprise level administration of both Windows and Linux systemsExposure to or experience operating within a DoD type environment; including knowledge in NIST/ISO standards, DoD directives, and regulatory requirements (800-171/53 and STIGs)A current security related certification (Security+, CASP+, CySA+, or similar)Experience implementing and maintaining a DevSecOps workflowPreferred experience/knowledge includes:

VMware and ESXiLinux & Windows administrationAutomation of administration tasks with Apache NiFi and similar toolsContainerization technologies to include Docker and PodmanActive TS/SCI clearance

**The proposed salary range may be impacted by geographic differential.**

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$76,700.00 - $115,100.00
