Position Summary:RN responsible for the delivery and coordination of Radiology patient care at a demonstrated level of safe practice and within the scope of practice as defined by the AZ State Board of Nursing and Canyon Vista Medical Center policy. The Interventional Radiology RN is responsible for providing patient care during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. The IR Nurse provides critical nursing care to the patient while assisting the Radiologist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Procedures performed include, but are not limited to, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Biopsies under CT, US, and MRI guidance, Aspirations, Cardiac CTA, Myelograms, and Port Dye Studies. The IR Nurse works closely with scheduling to ensure that procedures are scheduled appropriately and timely. Consults with the Radiologist to review cases and determine the best course of treatment for the patient. Performs other duties as assigned.***Per Diem Position***Minimum Qualifications:Must have an active AZ or Compact RN License.Associates Degree in Nursing required.1 to 2 years of experience preferred.Must obtain ACLS within 90 days of hire.
