Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all electrical installations in various construction projects, ensuring compliance with the national electrical code and safety regulations.
- Lead and supervise a team of electricians, ensuring they adhere to project plans and specifications, and complete tasks on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with other construction professionals, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring that all electrical work is completed on time and within budget.
- Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring they meet project requirements and are delivered on time.
- Handle any electrical emergencies that may arise, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent or Foreman in the construction industry, preferably with experience in industrial, commercial, tilt-up, and cold storage projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and completing electrical installations in large-scale construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of the national electrical code and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of electricians.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with other construction professionals.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
- Experience in refrigeration systems would be a significant plus.
- A valid electrician's license.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
