Placement on the adjunct faculty salary schedule is based upon education and clinical experience. Pending any assignment, initial placement can range from $71.80 up to $98.02 per hour (NI lab rate).Position Type:

The Colleges seek a part-time faculty member in Health Services. The ideal candidate will share the Colleges' commitment to educating a racially and socioeconomically diverse student population. This position is a 'pool' position meaning that openings may or may not be currently available.Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs history and physical examinationsDiagnoses and manages acute and chronic conditionsOrders, conducts, and interprets appropriate diagnostic and laboratory testsPrescribes pharmacological agents and non-pharmacological therapiesProvides reproductive health services, including: contraceptives, PAP smears, and STI testing and treatmentMinimum Qualifications:

Master's degree or above in nursing AND a California Public Health Nurse certificate OR a Bachelor's degree in nursing, a California Public Health Nurse certificate, AND a Master's degree or above in health education, sociology, psychology, counseling, health care administration, public health, or community health OR the equivalentActive California Registered Nurse LicenseActive California Nurse Practitioner CertificationActive California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing LicenseActive DEA licenseDemonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staffKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Recent successful experience in a student health services, emergency care, public health services, or health education settingKnowledge and experience with disadvantaged and underrepresented studentsSkill in oral and written communicationSkill in implementing both short and long range operational plans and proceduresKnowledge of budget management and reportingPreferred Qualifications:
