Senior Clinical Research Coordinator

College of Charleston, San Francisco, California, United States, 94199

The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator will independently coordinate and is accountable for the overall administration of multiple multicenter research projects on traumatic brain injury and stroke. It has direct responsibility for implementing a diverse portfolio of research activities for one or more studies which may include multicenter clinical trials (both NIH and industry-sponsored), local investigator-initiated clinical trials, and/or programmatic clinical research activities, such as a clinical database and biorepository. This requires advanced-level knowledge and skills and will also provide leadership to lower-level clinical research coordinators and other research support personnel.

The Senior CRC will also be responsible for managing CHR approval and compliance, contract generation, negotiation and approval, as well as creating and implementing quality improvement processes. Strong interpersonal skills, managerial ability, and prior formal coursework in neurobiology at the graduate level are required. Prior experience working with traumatic brain injury multicenter clinical studies is preferred. In addition to managing multiple clinical trials, other responsibilities include direct leadership of 10+ research assistants, including feedback at least weekly during meetings with each assistant to ensure the study goals are being met. The Senior CRC will also periodically review resumes, interview candidates, and coordinate steps involved in team expansion.

This is a position of leadership whose main purpose is to ensure that clinical research commitments are met and that the programs maintain a reputation for excellence in all activities and reports directly to the study PIs.
