Associate Director of Patient Support & Engagement Analytics, US Heme Business Unit
will play an important role in understanding and establishing key metrics and analytics required to run the business. As we stand up the analytic function and the overall business, it’s critical that we have a well-defined strategy and execution plan around what exact analytics will be required to successfully achieve our goals. This role will be in support of the entire US HEME business including HEME BU leadership, Marketing and Patient Engagement Commercial Operations (PECO). Cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality, Legal, Privacy and Compliance is critical for the success of this role.Partnership with our IT function is also critical to define which data are required to support the analytics determined above. Collaboration with our IT team to get the data into the right location and on a timely basis will be a key component to building the analytics competency within the business unit.This individual will deliver key reports and analyses as needed for both launch-related success metrics as well as ongoing metrics and KPIs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the business strategy and key levers within each functional area of the business across US HEME BU and key cross-functional partners.Overarching technical skills involve performing advanced analytics, test and learn experimenting of new analytical or visualization dashboards/tools to ensure operational success.The AD of Commercial Analytics will report into the Director of Digital Strategy & Analytics and is based onsite at our Seaport location (2 days flexible, 3 days onsite).Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with US HEME BU Leadership to understand and deliver reporting and analytics across, Marketing and PECO teams.Contribute to the analytics strategy and approach in conjunction with key stakeholders within the business unit. Drive teams to gain consensus and move forward.Contribute to the formulation and execution of an insights generation plan that both addresses and anticipates key business questions, and accordingly collaborate with other insights partners on which questions can be answered.Collaborate with internal partners such as manufacturing, logistics, and quality to gain visibility and insight into the overall end to end drug product delivery process and patient journey to determine key points of business interest and metrics, and craft an approach to monitoring/analyzing performance.Partner with DTE (Data, Technology & Engineering) and commercial operations colleagues on data warehouse, data lake, and database infrastructure requirements to ensure that cross-functional data sources are readily available for the desired analytic output.Collaborate with DTE and Cross-functional partners to create and maintain a centralized metrics document containing definitions, calculations, and business rules for the purposes of documentation.Translate and distill findings from advanced analytics into insights that are presented as a crystallized narrative with actionable recommendations, using techniques such as storytelling and intuitive visualizations.Drive breakthrough results through actionable analytics, innovating and evolving our capabilities to address anticipated business needs.Oversee development of data visualization BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI etc.) to support the creation and enhancement of self-service insights tools across the US HEME BU organization.Key SkillsSkilled in communicating with a range of audience types, particularly the ability to translate business questions into analytically actionable insights when partnering with non-analytical stakeholders.Curious in nature with a keen sense of attention to detail while maintaining an ability to see the forest through the trees.Excellent presentation skills: effectively set up the business context, deliver clear “so-what’s”, and actively shape team discussions towards actionable next steps.Practical orientation and consultative mindset on how to leverage analytics for decision-making and impact on customer experience.Ability to assess the level of importance of ad hoc requests then accordingly prioritize workload and align on this prioritization rationale with stakeholders.Education And ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline required (e.g., computer science, business analytics, statistics, or health-related field).8+ years of work experience in healthcare and/or analytics, including previous experience working with commercial analytics, cell and gene therapy, marketing teams, and/or field force teams within a pharmaceutical company.Previous experience understanding CRM & hierarchy data structures, linking large data sets across platforms (including third-party data), and designing scalable and self-service solutions.Deep proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions and pivot tables) and PowerPoint.Deep proficiency in coding reports including advanced visualizations, and querying data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).Proficiency with cell and gene manufacturing data, and other sales data sources (e.g., CRM).A foundational understanding of statistical concepts incl. regression, significance testing, correlation vs. causation, etc.Strong understanding of data models, concepts of data warehousing, data processes, reporting platforms, and methods of accessing data.Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize the workload of the team.Flex Designation:
