We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. As Corporate Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance, advising on global labor and employment law matters, managing confidential legal projects, and providing support to various business units within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Manage compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, including data protection, labor, and employment laws.Consult on global labor and employment law matters, providing guidance and support to the Guidewire People Team and management teams.Oversee and manage confidential legal projects, including contract negotiations, intellectual property matters, and regulatory compliance.Provide legal support and guidance to various business units, including sales, marketing, product development, and operations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corporate policies and procedures.Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends to advise on potential impacts and opportunities.Handle Privacy-related matters, including data privacy compliance, GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations.Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the bar of at least one state.Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate environment or technology company.Strong knowledge of corporate policies, procedures, and best practices.Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
$122,000 - $182,000 a year
Our US base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
