How You Will Make a Difference
BOL seeks a senior client services leader to join our leadership team as a Group Account Director. Reporting directly to the VP of Client Services, you will help transform the function to align with our refreshed integrated value delivery strategy—BOL’s proprietary methodology to deliver value to every client.
The Group Account Director leads, grows, and retains strategic client engagements. This role is central to guiding clients through the strategy and implementation of winning go-to-market programs. Building tight relationships rooted in productivity and shared success requires savvy leadership, strategy and process excellence, and strength of character.
This high-visibility, high-accountability role is central to BOL’s transition from a digital marketing agency to a true go-to-market partner for some of the coolest, most innovative brands.
What You’ll Actually Do
Approach each engagement strategically. Set a multi-quarter growth north star for your book anchored in value. Identify, plan and achieve path to growth
Help clients define and achieve their business goals, preparing annual strategic and tactical plans for each client and individual campaign/project plans throughout the year
Be an innovative and resilient problem solver. Bring forward and take the lead on solving ambitious and sophisticated problems that position BOL to better serve our customers
Engage customers effectively and persuasively, and build strong relationships across multiple functional areas, to uncover growth-related pain points / compelling business issues BOL can remedy
Effectively communicate BOL’s story and unique value proposition in ways that mobilize stakeholders around and galvanize support for BOL’s integrated approach to outcome delivery
Assist on new business efforts as needed, collaborating with agency & other functional leads to respond to RFIs, RFPs + pitch assignments with scoping and investment proposals
Drive consensus and action. Own and drive account strategy
Build strong account plans and lead regular account planning meetings to keep team aligned
What You Need to Succeed
Strong sales acumen, seller-doer mentality, and practice management to drive upsell/cross-sell across a book of business
You bring hypothesis and data-driven thinking. Experienced successfully leveraging data to drive decision-making
Trusted advisor aura. Demonstrable industry expertise, thought-leadership and grasp on how the macroeconomic climate shapes and impacts clients, expansion opportunities and pipeline
Motivated, entrepreneurial, high energy, data-minded, naturally inquisitive, and tech-savvy with prior senior level agency and account management experience
Strategic leader for the team, senior client advocate & B2B go-to-market expert
Proven track record managing clients, account retention, and growth
Experience managing, mentoring, and developing entry-level and mid-level professional services & client services team members - media, creative, SEO, account management & project management —helping them master core strategy/planning skills
A proactive, collaborative, team-first work style—you’re willing to take on any level of task to meet deadlines, surpass expectations, and ultimately, make the work better
Strong understanding of digital experience and buyer enablement strategy, particularly within SaaS
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required or similar work experience
10+ years experience in client services/account management in a marketing agency; B2B marketing preferred with a consistent track record selling solutions to Marketing and Sales organization brands across verticals and market segments
Must have strong working knowledge across:
Client services & management
Buyer journey mapping
Full-funnel b2b campaign development, including ABM
Relationship/Client Management
Marketing & sales automation tools such as SFCD, Marketo, HubSpot, 6sense and Demandbase
Reports to: VP, Client Services
