As of December 31, 2023, the team has invested more than $40bn in capital across more than 1,000 transactions over a 23+ year track record, on behalf of a broad slate of global clients. The USPC team based in San Francisco leads the Growth and Late-Stage lending strategy focused on investing in high-growth technology and software companies.About the RoleWe are seeking an Associate-level investment professional to be responsible for identifying and underwriting new investments, monitoring existing positions, as well as broader fund performance reports. The candidate could have the opportunity to participate in our Growth and Late-Stage lending strategy alongside our core middle-market strategy. This position will report into US Private Capital leadership and partner with other professionals within the organization. Candidates should have a background in credit investing with the research and modeling skills to underwrite and monitor existing investments. Critical to the individual's success will be their investment judgment, ability to work constructively with investment partners, willingness to take initiative, resourcefulness and intellectual curiosity.Job Responsibilities:Research industries, companies and create detailed financial models to highlight relevant metrics to be used in the investment decision-making process.Produce quality analysis of company and diligence information to support investment conclusions.Develop accurate, flexible financial models / scenario analysis.Preparation of concise, accurate and complete investment memoranda.Actively monitor existing portfolio names.Requirements / Qualifications:Undergraduate degree with strong academic background.2-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, direct lending, venture lending or private debt investing (preference for software and technology experience but not mandatory).Superior analytical, thinking, and communication (oral and written) skills.Candidates must be comfortable participating in diligence meetings with senior management; portfolio companies, sponsors and other investment professionals.Motivated, self-starter that seeks problem-solving situations.Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and show ability to quickly climb the learning curve.For California only the salary range for this position is $115,000 - $180,000.
