Under the direction of the Vice President of Family and Provider Resources, the Family Resources Director is responsible for the oversight of departmental compliance with the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Child Care Assistance Program contract deliverables, leadership of the Family Resources Management team, and the direct supervision of staff. All work to be completed with minimum supervision and in accordance with organizational standards.This incumbent will be expected to promote and adhere to the workplace core capabilities of: accountability, customer focus, continuous quality improvement (CQI), communication, competent people, and clear priorities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor departmental performance in relationship to IDHS CCAP contract deliverables. Lead departmental work to achieve compliance in all deliverables.Lead and advise Family Resources Managers on organizational, departmental, and functional team initiatives.Develop departmental work plans in coordination with the organizational strategic plan and balanced scorecard goals.Lead a Continuous Quality Improvement process on CCAP eligibility determination, customer service, payment processing, and staff training/technical assistance.Serve as IAFC CCAP representative in meetings with IDHS, child care provider associations, Service Employees International child care provider union, and other organizations as needed.Serve on State-wide committees concerning CCAP policies and practices as needed.Assist in the preparation of the department’s annual budget; monitor expenditures and fiscal needs, and report budget issues to the VP of Family and Provider Services.Recruit, recommend for hire, and supervise assigned staff; provide staff training; evaluate performance and promote career development.Represent IAFC to external groups/organizations to promote the agency and increase utilization of services through events, presentations, and/or day-to-day contact.Ensure confidentiality of parent and provider information received and managed by the department.The organization may assign other functions to the job at its discretion.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for managing assigned supervisory and other staff. Performs employee evaluations and makes pay and/or hiring decisions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required, master's degree preferred. Four to seven years related experience and/or training. Significant experience in the social services field preferred. Three to five years experience in management, program planning, organizational development, or evaluation of staff performance and programs.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
