Job Description:
Pay Range: $51hr - $56hr
Responsibilities:
Data Model Design and Development:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into comprehensive logical and physical data models using ERWIN.Design and implement dimensional, snowflake, and relational data models for data warehousing and analytics purposes.Utilize best practices for data normalization, denormalization, and data partitioning to optimize query performance.Create detailed data model documentation, including entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), data dictionary, and data lineage.Snowflake Expertise:
Leverage Snowflake features like stages, variants, and data sharing to manage data ingestion, transformation, and distribution efficiently.Optimize Snowflake queries for high performance and scalability within the cloud environment.Implement data governance policies within Snowflake to ensure data quality and security.Data Warehousing Implementation:
Design and build data warehouse structures on Snowflake, considering data loading strategies and data refresh schedules.Collaborate with data engineers to implement data pipelines for ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data quality and consistency.Data Modeling Tool Proficiency:
Utilize ERWIN to create, manage, and maintain complex data models, leveraging its features for data validation and impact analysis.Ensure alignment between logical and physical data models across different environments.SQL Skills:
Write complex SQL queries for data manipulation, data cleansing, and data analysis.Optimize SQL queries to improve query performance and scalability.Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including data analysts, data engineers, and business users to gather requirements, present data models, and address data-related challenges.Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Required Skills and Experience:
Expert proficiency in data modeling concepts (dimensional, star schema, snowflake schema, etc.).In-depth knowledge of ERWIN data modeling tool.dvanced SQL skills with experience in optimizing complex queries.Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture and features.Experience with data warehousing concepts and best practices.Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication and collaboration skills.bility to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality.Desired Qualifications:
Experience with data governance practices and data quality methodologies.Familiarity with other cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse).Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).Certification in Snowflake or data modeling tools is a plus.
