Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to join our CXO Insights & Reporting team, which supports various teams within the customer experience (CX) and operations (O) functions at BILL. This position will play a pivotal role in producing data models required to support BILL's customers and scale BILL's internal operations.
ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and translate business needs into long-term solution data modelsTroubleshoot and optimize data systems and SQL scriptsMaintain data models and define data modeling and design standards for the CXO Insights & Reporting teamDevelop best practices around data coding and standard naming conventions, making sure data models are consistentEvaluate databases and data models for inconsistencies and variances, ensuring data is represented correctlyWe'd love to chat if you have:
5+ years in a SQL-based Analyst, Business Intelligence, or Data Engineering roleBS/BA in a technical related field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience requiredExperience working with data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)Familiarity with data cataloging and quality tools (dbt, Great Expectations, Amundsen)Familiarity with star schema/snowflake/OBT data modeling practicesFamiliarity with ETL/ELT conceptsExperience working directly with Customer Experience teamsExperience optimizing SQL queriesFamiliarity with scalable/modular solutions that can be leveraged by the full team (dbt experience highly preferred)Python or software development experience a plusFintech or startup experience a plusThe estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL's bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
