Mount Indie is hiring a Senior Cloud Architect to Lead Cloud and Software Operations for a US Army program.

We're seeking a passionate leader with a deep understanding of enterprise-level cloud initiatives, software maintenance, and cutting-edge disaster recovery systems. This role will allow you to work closely with top decision-makers, ensuring mission-critical systems run smoothly and securely while meeting organizational objectives.

What You'll Do:

Lead Software Operations & Maintenance (O&M):

• Leverage your expertise in software O&M to support Army enterprise systems, helping maintain high performance and reliability.Drive Cloud Initiatives:

• Manage cloud-based projects across enterprise environments, influencing both government and industry stakeholders.

• Develop migration strategies aligned with organizational cloud goals, ensuring smooth transitions to advanced cloud architectures.Ensure Secure and Compliant Systems:

• Lead efforts to define project objectives, oversee system architecture design, and ensure information assurance (IA) compliance.

• Interface with government personnel, provide project updates, and keep all stakeholders informed on progress.Enhance Disaster Recovery & High Availability:

• Bring your knowledge of commercial cloud service providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure) to implement robust disaster recovery (DR) strategies.

• Optimize high availability (HA) across multi-region and multi-availability zones, ensuring resilient, fault-tolerant systems.Required Qualifications:



10+ years

of experience in technical and/or management roles, focusing on Army or DoD programs and projects related to software O&M.



5+ years

leading cloud initiatives in the government or industry sectors at an enterprise level.



1+ year

of recent experience (within the past 3 years) defining cloud migration objectives, leading cloud projects, and coordinating with government teams.



3+ years

of hands-on experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure, specifically in disaster recovery and high availability.Required Education and Experience Experience:



BS degree

in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.OR



15 years

of combined experience in computer/network architecture, with

5 years

of experience within the past 8 years specifically in Cloud Architecture, is acceptable in lieu of a degree.Additional Requirements:



US Citizen

with

NATO Secret clearance

and

IAT Level III

certification (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCSP)
