::Position Overview:The Human Resources Leader

will direct the Human Resources activities to ensure the facility meets all state, local and federal requirements while complying with Crown policies and procedures.

Duties And Responsibilities:Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Human Resources Manager responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:Perform as a strategic partner along with the rest of the plant management team. Act as a liaison between the plant floor management and the Plant Manager with responsibility for all aspects of human resources in a high-speed manufacturing environmentProvides hands-on employee relations and support to employees of Crown.

Coordinate employee communications and meetings to keep employees informed through monthly newsletters, benefit updates, production updates and other methodsStrong presence on the manufacturing floor interacting with employees on all shifts, responding to employee issues/concerns and supporting a positive employee relations environment.Employee relations issues which would include but not be limited to; resolving conflicts, implementing disciplinary procedures, developing and rolling out improvement plans, investigating and resolving harassment claims and implementing required employee actions.Leading effective communication campaigns at the plantProvide management with leadership, consultation, and as needed, intervention suggestions that support positive employee relations throughout the facilityEvaluate the training needs of the facility.

Design, develop and deliver training to employees on a variety of training topics that will be benefit to the employee, location and DivisionLiaison with Corporate Human Resources team on various matters as member of company-wide Human Resources TeamFully aligned partner with the EH&S Coordinator supporting safety and training initiatives.Involvement with the plants EHS Committee, WCP Committee and Quality TeamsLeading all investigations and maintaining proper files at the plant locationOn the floor interactions with employees on all shifts, responding to employees issues/concerns in support of a positive employee relations environmentPerformance management to include leadership of employee appraisal processes, development and corrective action programsResponsible for talent acquisition activities for salaried and hourly roles.

This would include sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, background screening and reference checks.Administering the sites Affirmative Action Plan and maintaining the hiring logResponsible for orientation/onboarding program for the employeesOrganizational development activities to include active management of the sites Succession Plan through effective employee development and advancementFoster Crowns Corporate Citizenship in the community.

Leading involvement in events, charities, blood drivesEvent planning including health fairs, Company events, luncheons, celebrations, holiday partiesCoordination of medical coverage and questions with Corporate InsuranceCoordination of FMLA, Workers Comp and other related leave issuesHRIS system administration including payroll issues, employee data input, daily attendance, and other related areasMaintenance of employee files and recordsPerforms other job-related duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:Minimum RequirementsBachelors degree in Human Resources/Business or a related discipline5+ years in an HR management role5+ years in a manufacturing environment5+ years in union environmentWorking knowledge of all local, state and federal laws and regulationsMay occasionally need to work evening and weekend hours to support shiftsApproximately 0 - 10% overnight travel
