The Global Biologics team within R&D is responsible for the discovery and optimization of next generation biological drug candidates for our three main therapeutic areas Oncology, Gastroenterology and Neuroscience.Join Takeda as a Director, Process Optimization where you will improve our process and workflows. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing our lab and business processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity. You will also develop expertise in the specific workflows and capabilities in Global Biologics and leverage this knowledge to strategize on implementation of automation and informatics to improve efficiencies. As part of the, Global Biologics team, you will report to the Head of the organization and work with scientists across all Global Biologics teams and with Informatics and Lab automation teams to analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement and work with the teams to solve those issues.You will be integral to creating an industry leading biologics discovery workflow, driving continuous improvement and optimization and deliver scientific and operational excellence.How you will contribute:

Evaluate current laboratory processes to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and areas for improvement.Gather and analyze data related to lab workflows, sample handling, and equipment utilization.Design and implement optimized workflows, protocols, and procedures to streamline lab operations.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for lab processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process maps.Lead initiatives to improve turnaround times, increase efficiency and communication and enhance the accuracy and reliability of lab results.Continuously monitor process performance and make data-driven adjustments to improve outcomes.Support continuous improvement of technology solutions by developing a deep understanding of our application landscape and business strategies.Identify opportunities to integrate new technologies and automation into lab processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.Work with Informatics, automation and lab management to implement and test new tools or software.Provide training and support to staff to ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools.Communicate changes and benefits effectively to all stakeholders to foster buy-in and smooth transitions.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of process improvement initiatives.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

PhD degree in a scientific discipline with 10+ years experience , or MS with 16+ years experience, or BS with 18+ years experience.10+ years of experience in laboratory settings in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry.Strong understanding of laboratory processes and workflows in biologics discovery coupled with the ability to introduce automation to enhance operational efficiency.Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, lead and drive multiple change initiatives simultaneously.Strategic mindset and the ability to think critically and creatively to drive innovation and growth.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.More about us:

For Location:Boston, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:$169,400.00 - $266,200.00The estimated salary range reflects

an anticipated

range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education

, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
