Our team designs experiences, testing and tooling capabilities critical for our developers to build and go-live with PayPal’s payment integrations. The Developer Ecosystem team is part of the Core Product & Engineering organization, and responsible for PayPal’s end-to-end developer experiences – including developer onboarding, integration, and servicing experiences.We’re looking for Director, Developer Ecosystem, who will transform Developer Experiences for PayPal Inc. If you are excited empowering Developers by helping them integrate PayPal solutions – this role is for you. In this role, you will lead the product strategy and vision for the next generation of API & SDK integration experiences, tooling & testing capabilities empowering PayPal’s developers. You will lead a team of savvy product managers developing state-of-the-art integration tools, testing frameworks and sandbox tools, simulators, and demo environments to help Developers go-live with PayPal. You will help us build state of the art platform for developer documentation critical for integration, troubleshooting, upgrades to enable the end-to-end developer lifecycle. In addition, we must listen to developers and understand their challenges during their lifecycle. You will influence and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including Engineering, User Experience, Analytics, Sales and Marketing teams to address challenges developer’s face, and identify new developer-centric solutions to accelerate PayPal’s product adoption. In partnership with engineering, you will own and execute the strategy and roadmap, with the goal of each new release making a measurable impact. In this role, you will also be an organic developer evangelist and advocate – and bring the voice of developers to enhance future roadmaps and product strategy. This job may require occasional travel to meet team members Asia Pacific.Job Description:Primary Job Responsibilities:Improve developer satisfaction through best-in-class integration experiences – In partnership with product teams, define and deliver the integration experiences via our APIs / SDKs. Define and deliver the product vision, and strategy for developer integration experiences, testing and tooling, go-live experiences.Establish strong governance practices to deliver high-quality integration experiences – Establish best-practices for developers integrating using guides, APIs, SDKs using tactics like checklists, sample implementation, how-to-articles and videos. Enable teams to resolve integration or experience issues timely and sustainably via Developer Portal experience including tactics like bug-bounty programs, audits, and continually monitoring KPIs like (but not limited to) time-to-market, developer satisfaction.Build robust platforms critical for developer enablement – build the platform for developers with key features like monitoring, alerting, integration health notifications. Build end-to-end integration journeys for top products, and monitor funnel drop offs throughout the journey. Fix product experience gaps based on friction experienced.Empower team of senior product managers and technical writers - make the biggest impact possible for developers while reaching their professional development goals. Help drive alignment and implement and champion decisions with your teams and across the organization as required.Be a trusted partner for senior management and PayPal developers - Determine and provide best solutions for future developer products.
