Short Description

The Director of Business Operations is responsible for optimizing and growing the Institute. The Director works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, administrators, senior leadership, community-based organizations, and other healthcare organizations to execute institute strategic plans.  The Director leads operational excellence, monitors overall performance, escalating issues as needed, creating operational improvement plans.

• Manage provider schedules, maximizing utilization of office space and provider schedules
• Optimize procedural scheduling to maximize utilization across all procedural locations
• Liaise with Ambulatory Operations and Patient Access Center on issues involving providers and patients
• Liaise with Physician and APP leadership to implement new program activities, collaborate on provider schedule optimization, discuss provider issues
• Oversee strategic recruitment of providers including onboarding and offboarding process for providers
• Compile analyses and work into presentation to be delivered by leadership at the corporate and board level
• Create and maintain provider template standards and protocols for the Patient Access Center
• Monitor PSAs, contracts, agreements with outside agencies


Experience Required

3-5 years experience required

Experience leading, optimizing, and growing complex healthcare teams, or related work


Education Requirements

Bachelors required. Masters preferred

Business, healthcare administration, or operations management preferred

 


Special Requirements

Strong oral/written communication skills, including diplomacy and the ability to work with all disciplines, levels, and backgrounds

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Ability to direct and manage multiple priorities and utilize effective time management skills

 

Preferred:

Experience with change management projects
Thorough and broad understanding of current issues and future challenges facing healthcare delivery systems.

Demonstrated ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to business operations, organization development, customer satisfaction, and change management. 

Exceptional strength in strategic thinking, analysis and problem solving, organizational leadership, collaboration, and a results-oriented vision and focus

Strong analytical skills, and experience with performance improvement methodologies and data-driven decision-making
