Our Behavior Technicians work as valued members of our therapy teams to provide individualized services to children with autism, working under the direct supervision of a
Board Certified
Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
The Behavioral Technician
will provide individualized therapy services in a 1:1 teaching format to children with autism in a school setting.
This position will support clients in the Springfield
school district.

Training and Professional Development opportunities available to develop and strengthen your skillset as a Registered Behavior Technician
What
you’ll
do in this role:Assist
in the implementation of positive behavior support plans, IEP, and/or 504 plans utilizing ABA principles in the school setting.
Provide direct 1:1 and/or small group therapy to
identified
student(s) to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction interventions as directed by the BCBA.
Implement and report data on programs such as student’s IEP goals, behavioral management, social
skills
and academic areas.
Collaborate, communicate, and
assist
with the training of school district staff.
Provide a safe and supportive environment for students and school teams (i.e., teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administrators).
Implements the student’s behavior intervention plan and/or safety plan as developed by the BCBA.
Collect and analyze skill acquisition and challenging behavior data, with oversight and supervision provided by
a BCBA
.
We are looking for compassionate
Behavioral Technicians
with:Must be at least 18 years of
age
High School Diploma or GED
required
Bachelor or Associate
Degree in behavioral health, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Special Education, or related field, preferred
Valid driver license and ability to travel to various schools within assigned
region
Ability to
acquire
RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification within
45 days
of hire date, with training provided by Surpass Behavioral Health.
Prior professional experience working with children with
Autism Spectrum Disorders
(ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting is
a plus!
Works with integrity and adheres to the BACB Ethical Code, HIPAA practices, and company
policies
Ability to move freely, quickly, and
frequently
from a seated position (on the floor or in a chair) to a standing position
as well as the ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. on
occasion
